“When my wife and I started the process of interviewing builders, we were not sure what to expect. We had heard horror stories about building a house and how many times people could not trust their contractor. Our plans were only about 85% complete when we started interviewing builders. We got the sense from others that the price could really fluctuate greatly based on what they saw. Brian Huey looked at the plans and asked many detailed questions that helped to define the process. His bid came in much lower than the others, and we were skeptical.
We took a chance with him because everyone who we talked to who worked with him in the past had only wonderful things to say about his craftsmanship, work ethic and personality. Our project got started when he said it would and moved along as he told us it would. We made decisions with him during the process and he kept us very involved. He was on site every day and was always accessible to us when we needed to talk.
He definitely has an eye for what works and what doesn’t work. He would tactfully steer us away from bad decisions and suggest great ideas that we had not thought of. He always was looking out for us spending money that we didn’t need to spend as well.
We have been in our house for over 5 years and still love every aspect of it. He made the process of building our first (and last) house as easy and fun as possible.
